The publication …in Las Vegas brings together work produced during a three-day workshop led by Ronny Hunger with MA Visual Communication students. Inspired by Denise Scott Brown and Robert Venturi’s research and publication Learning from Las Vegas, the students revisited the same section of the Las Vegas Strip 53 years later through Google Maps and Street View. Each student developed an individual archive of overlooked details, fragments and views, translating these observations into visual and textual narratives. Organised as a series of individual chapters, the book explores how virtual travel, subjective observation and editorial design can produce multiple readings of a familiar landscape.
